I’ve worked with you over the last 2 quarters and I find you organized, helpful, clear, and communicative. In fact, I find it’s very easy to get a clear answer and evaluation from you, and you are good at bringing other people to the table quickly. You are keen to understand business needs and keep us involved. This, to me, shows that you are adaptable, knowing when an issue needs to be shifted or recontextualized. I like that your Wiki is very organized and easy to use, as well.

I’ve known Rifqi through working with him for the last year on a cross-functional team managing an on-going exception resolution process. Above all, I have been impressed with Rifqi’s preparedness and diligence. And, of course, his positive outlook. Rifqi would be a great addition for any team needing these skills.

Rifqi and I were in the same study group during the first semester of our Master’s in Management program. Within the group, Rifqi was always extremely supportive, continuously offering his help even in topics he was not always too familiar with. I had the pleasure of working with Rifqi when we built a new team from scratch, where I supported as an Agile Coach and he played the role of Product Owner. From my experience working with Rifqi, I can confirm that the points mentioned above are well-balanced. Focusing specifically on expansion projects, which is our area of collaboration, his team’s deliveries were always on time, and we had different syncs throughout the project where he maintained transparent communication with me. Something I also appreciate is his structured approach, as the project details (at least those that are relevant to me) are documented and up to date. Also, I’d like to highlight the Mexico UAT sessions he organized together with Tardis team: he ensured all relevant stakeholders were involved (and gave them the opportunity to ask any questions), which in turn contributed to a successful go-live. I would also like to mention that I appreciate his proactivity in different topics, such as in providing and asking for feedback; he always raises potential risks at an early stage for awareness; and during the Mexico project, he proactively jumped in to support on CSI-related tasks, which from my perspective (but probably also from the engineer and data analyst perspectives) was extremely relevant.

I would like to give kudos to Rifqi for thinking long term beyond his own stakeholder needs. As Operational Intelligence, we are nowhere part of CS domain but we had a use case where Bird View solved our problem of manually validating customer information for ride cancellations report. This report is used by most Flix markets and Bird View helps to identify and iterate faster with lightning fast customer data validations. Rifqi “pushed boundaries” beyond the own domain, which is one of Flix’s value pillars.

Rifqi balances all those pretty well to my experience. Has always consulted stakeholders on future improvements or new features, minimizing confusion and predicting fall backs. My collaboration with him on multiple topics has been smooth and efficient.

Rifqi is a colleague who is pleasant, easy and valuable to work with. The network he has within the company is one of the things that makes him a valuable employee, not only but his professionalism in terms of precise collaboration, technical knowledge and business knowledge make him even more trustworthy.

Rifqi was a gem to work with during the rollout of a new product to our non-English speaking users in Turkey, identifying their user profiles, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy tooling to the new product, with minimal downtime while remaining cognizant of user needs and the wider Flix business environment in which this product sits. In your role as product owner, you have stood out as a hard-working person who prioritises clarity and puts the audience first in order to maximise the efficiency of communication, particularly in writing.

At least one specific example of a business goal immediately comes to my mind: when it comes to country expansions, the Tardis-Bond collaboration has felt pretty smooth so far, even though the landscape we are navigating is actually pretty tricky! There are many shared services and responsibilities, and it takes a great deal of effort to make it all work smoothly. So, as far as I can tell, your impact matters!

Last but not least, you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty – I remember very well how you and I were triaging and troubleshooting an incident with GH recordings in the middle of the night. While I was there to identify the exact point of failure, you were also there, despite not technically being an on-call engineer, with the intention of involving someone from Team Bond and, if and when required, offering your hands-on knowledge to answer emerging operational questions.

I think listing a few things that Rifqi built and contributed to is probably the best way to recommend him.

First, Rifqi built excellent dashboards in Datadog, which demonstrated his skills as a data-driven Product Owner. The dashboards included the most important observability metrics for (1) the contact center and (2) an internal tool. They became the go-to place when we wanted to look up certain data not just for him as a product person, but also for the engineering team.

Second, when multiple telephony products were in use, it was vital to pick the ones that were reliable, secure, and cost-efficient. Here too, Rifqi came up with excellent spreadsheets that helped guide the vendor selection process tremendously. That analysis provided enough clarity and was very helpful in making informed, cost-effective decisions, showcasing his skills as an analyst and his product thinking.

Third, when it comes to collaboration, I think it’s important to give colleagues the “I got your back” assurance. I found Rifqi to be that person. He was a collaborative sparring partner who made an effort to understand others’ points of view and helped turn discussions into productive outcomes. I’m sure the stakeholders who worked with Rifqi felt the same.

Rifqi also understands where he can do better, and he makes an effort to improve, embodying the growth mindset we all need.
